iPod touch 4G is a product of an American multinational corporation "Apple Inc." which produces computer software, consumer electronics, personal computers, iPods, iPhones and iPads. iPod touch is a multimedia player, a personal digital assistance, a mobile internet device, digital audio player, e-book reader, camcorder webcam, digital camera, mobile phone and a handheld game console. In other words it can fulfill a person's needs for entertainment as well as work. It is the latest release in the Apple iPod series. It has all the upgraded features of previous iPods and some additional services that were missing in the older versions. Music can be directly downloaded on to the device via Wi-Fi instead of connecting it to a computer or a laptop to visit iTunes.

iPod touch 4G possesses 4.2.1 iOS and 5.0.1 iOS software. 5 iOS is the latest operating system announced in October, 2011. This has advance features that makes it pretty much similar to iphone. With 5 iOS, iPods can receive App. store updates for free while in previous iPods using older operating systems the App. store updates required payments.
